A day in the country

On Sunday we booked to have lunch at the stunning Sir Charles Napier gastro-pub in Chinnor (South East of Oxford). It’s only 50 minutes from Chiswick but it’s like another world! Once you get off the M40 you drive for about 10-15 minutes on the most rural roads I’ve ever seen, narrow enough for one car but it’s actually a two way road! Winding and bending up hill, but if you are brave enough to look away from the front windscreen and look left and right the views are stunning! Rolling country hills as far as the eye can see! Worth the scary drive.

The Michelin starred gastro-pub is situated on a beautiful piece of land with pristine gardens scattered with amazing animal sculptures to enjoy a crisp glass of rosé in and the dinner setting is just as beautiful!
